These are our favorite Delta Sky Clubs in the US — and a card we love that gets you access
Delta Sky Clubs® are among the nicest airline lounges you’ll find in the U.S., and Delta Air Lines has made a major investment in its lounge network over the past decade.
New Delta Sky Clubs, including a fabulous 35,000-square-foot club in the new Terminal C at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), have opened from coast to coast. Not to mention, there’s the newest outpost at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).
That’s why holding the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card can make even more sense now since it unlocks access to some of our favorite Delta Sky Clubs.
I’m a big fan of the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business Card. It offers useful benefits, has solid earning potential for your business and gives you access to some of the best lounges in the country.
As a Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business cardmember, you receive 15 visits each Medallion® year to Delta Sky Clubs when flying Delta, plus four one-time guest passes each year. (You can get unlimited visits if you spend at least $75,000 each calendar year.) A visit encompasses all Delta Sky Club entries made within a 24-hour period, including those at your departure city and connecting airports, as well as upon arrival at your destination.
And it’s not just club access that makes the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business Card so valuable. It’s a great way for small businesses to beef up their Delta SkyMiles balances because the card helps you earn bonus miles on purchases of things businesses use every day. Not only do you earn 3 miles per eligible dollar spent on Delta Air Lines purchases, but you’ll also get 1.5 miles per dollar spent on transit, U.S. shipping and U.S. office supply store charges. This could be clutch for some of your business’ largest expenses each year.
Those miles can really add up for your small business, too. You’ll earn 1 Medallion Qualification Dollar for every $10 you put on the card each year — so your business-related spending could give you a shortcut to status.
From now through April 2, 2025, the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card has a generous welcome offer of 110,000 bonus miles after you spend $12,000 on purchases with your new card in the first six months of card membership. The annual fee is $650 (see rates and fees).
The Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business card also comes with an annual Companion Certificate* at each renewal. It is valid for a round-trip ticket in first class, Delta Comfort+ or the main cabin. The certificate is good for travel to all 50 U.S. states and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, too.

*The companion certificate requires payment of government-imposed taxes and fees of between $22 and $250 (for itineraries with up to four flight segments). Baggage charges and other restrictions apply.

Plus, as a cardmember, you’ll get 2,500 MQDs each Medallion qualification year with MQD Headstart. That’s halfway to Silver Medallion status just for being a Delta Reserve Business cardmember.
The card also comes with additional benefits similar to those on other American Express cards. It provides monthly statement credits for U.S. ride-hailing purchases with select providers and eligible purchases with U.S. Resy restaurants, plus up to $200 per year as a statement credit to book prepaid hotels through Delta Stays.
In my opinion, the statement credit goes a long way toward making up for that annual fee.
But to me, the best benefit is receiving Sky Club access.
I polled fellow Delta fans at TPG to come up with our favorite Delta Sky Clubs. Among them:
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
- Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
Here’s what we love about each.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Delta unveiled the massive Terminal 3 Sky Club at LAX back in 2022, and it remains one of the largest in the network at a whopping 33,606 square feet of space for relaxing.
The lounge features indoor and outdoor premium bars, two buffet stations, showers and a gorgeous Sky Deck with views of the Hollywood hills and several runways (plus lots of Delta jets). That terrace has a retractable roof, which means it stays open all year long.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
Delta has a massive presence at JFK, which used to lead to some of the busiest clubs.
Thankfully, that hasn’t been nearly as problematic as in years past, thanks to a brand-new Sky Club by the recently added Concourse A gates in Terminal 4.
This 14,000-square-foot lounge features an impressive terrace with incredible views of the tarmac, privacy booths for phone calls, a large buffet with a goodies bar, and lots of stylish seating areas.
You’ll also enjoy the stunning 360-degree wraparound bar with all kinds of high-end cocktails. Not to mention, it’s often the least busy Delta Sky Club I’ve been to, making it a bit of an under-the-radar lounge at JFK, in my opinion.

O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
Of all the Sky Clubs, my favorite is the lovely space at ORD.
Why?
It has its own gates — two, to be exact — so you don’t need to leave the lounge to board some flights. One is used for flights to its hub at LGA, where another fabulous new Sky Club resides, and the other is for international Delta partners like Air France.

CLINT HENDERSON/THE POINTS GUY
This lounge, along with a reimagined Terminal 5, was unveiled in 2022. It features more than 22,000 square feet of space and a variety of seating areas.
You’ll find shower suites, two bars (including a wine bar) and even a Chicago-style hot dog vendor.
As at many newer Delta Sky Clubs, there is also a ton of fun locally produced and themed artwork.

Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
The Sky Club at SLC is another Sky Club with an open-air terrace, making it a favorite among TPG staffers.
This space opened in 2020 when Salt Lake City revealed its new terminal. The Sky Club offers a whopping 28,000 square feet of space for chilling out or chowing down.

The Delta Sky Club at SLC. ZACH GRIFF/THE POINTS GUY
The lounge design and colors were inspired by the nearby Wasatch Range, which can be seen from its stellar Sky Deck.
Other highlights include two bars and two buffets, so you’ll never wait long for food or drinks, plus two soda fountains and five Eversys coffee machines for the perfect (strong) espressos.
Two shower rooms are also available, and, as at other modern Sky Clubs, they can be reserved via digital sign-up at kiosks.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)
Another TPG-approved Sky Club is in Austin. It opened back in 2019, and like some of the other Sky Clubs in this list, this lounge features a covered Sky Deck with self-serve nonalcoholic beverages.

ZACH GRIFF/THE POINTS GUY
Inside, you’ll find a full bar with top-shelf tequila and brews, including ones from Texas breweries like Thirsty Planet Brewing Company.**
**Alcoholic beverages will not be served to anyone under 21 years of age. Local age restrictions apply in non-U.S. locations.
At 9,000 square feet, it’s not one of the airline’s largest lounges, but it’s a favorite in Austin.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
A third Sky Club at Delta’s Minneapolis-St. Paul hub (Concourse G) opened last year to much acclaim.
This gorgeous space was designed with Minnesota’s “Land of 10,000 Lakes” moniker in mind. The accent colors of copper, bronze and sage green are said to have been inspired by summer sunsets on the Great Lakes.
At 21,000 square feet, this Sky Club is one of Delta’s largest, with room for 450 guests. It features two bars, a large buffet area, soundproof booths for quiet work and a huge year-round Sky Deck.
There’s even a living plant wall with seasonally refreshed foliage to bring the beauty of nature inside.
